Terms of Use

The U.S. Blind Tandem Cycling Connection is a non-profit organization created to encourage participation by both sighted and blind cyclists in tandem cycling. We do this by providing a place in cyberspace for sighted and blind cyclists to make the connections with one another that may lead to tandem rides. We do not introduce riders to one another. We simply provide a means for users to learn about one another and, if they wish, to arrange rides together.

We are not involved in the actual contact between users of our web site. We do not investigate any user’s reputation or background. As a result, we have no control over the conduct of our users nor do we verify any representations made by and between users of our site. We encourage you to communicate directly with each other and to take the same precautions you would normally take when meeting a stranger in person for the first time.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with individuals you meet through The U.S. Blind Tandem Cycling Connection. As a precondition to using our site you agree to execute The U.S. Blind Tandem Cycling Connection’s Assumption of Risk, Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement which provides that you waive any claims against and release from liability the U. S Tandem Cycling Connection, its officers, employees, and volunteers as well as the captain (if you are a stoker) and the stoker (if you are the captain) in the event you arrange a ride with a person or persons met through our site.
