Exciting new technology, BrainPort, helps blind people “see”

Erik Weihenmayer, the only blind man to climb to the summit of Mount Everest, has been testing exciting technology called BrainPort, which helps blind people “see” via a camera and a device that translates images into sensations on the tongue.  Watch the video of Erik using BrainPort to climb and locate objects in his home.
